Novinka's Principal Consultant - Katya Ellis, is very passionate about small
businesses adopting 'big-business thinking'. Katya has been working with Start-ups
and SMEs as a business advisor since 2007. Helping thousands of businesses with
strategy, acumen and implementation.
Katya has also been involved in a number of businesses and
entrepreneurial ventures, including wholesale agency, product design and
manufacture, fashion marketing agency and brick 'n mortar and eCommerce retail,
and has worked as an event producer for local and international events including
New York Fashion Week. Katya spent half a decade working in government and
industry liaison, marketing, communication and outreach for technology companies,
venture capital firms and research institutes.
She is a non-executive director on a number of Company and advisory boards, and since 2016 has been a grants assessor for the City of Melbourne for digital adaptation, entrepreneur and business events grants. Katya also teaches Digital Marketing at RMIT, has guest lectured on business at the Australian Institute of Music, and facilitates and lectures training courses including Social Media Management for local councils.
